When you guys order do you do like a mass order? It seems that to buy fish online and pay for the freight it would cost more. I mean unless you are buying a couple hundred dollars worth of fish at a time

Usually that is the way to go. It becomes quite a bit cheaper to order online if you don't have to pay shipping for obvious reasons. The people don't need a physical store to display stuff. They pretty much just have it sent from the transhipper(quality marine, etc.) to your door, more or less a pass through.

This guy is different. Some of his prices are very good because he deals solely with Atlantic fish. His Atlantic Blue Tangs for example are unbelievably cheap. Same goes for the Blue Angels.

I agree, it would always be ideal too place a larger order online to save on shipping costs. Also ordering online can be a big plus because if you cant find certian species you may be interested in at your LFS chances are you can probably find them online.

The Blue tangs are very cheap, that was one of the species on his list I was interested in

How are the shipping charges from this gent? Looking to get a couple local fish (he's licensed here in FL)

I sent for a quote to send some grunts here to Indiana. Even with shipping, you can't beat getting a trio of french grunts for $2 each. Heck even the smaller french angels are about half of what my lfs would charge! I'll let you know what the shipping quote is when I get it back.

Well, he must have been sitting at his computer because I got fast responses. It appears that I can get three french grunts shipped overnight for just under $45 (about $15/fish). I guarantee if my lfs had these, they would be at least $20 each. I'm ordering in about three weeks, so I will let everyone know how it goes. Thanks for alerting me (and everyone else) to this site!

The main issue is you don't get to see the fish and you can't see it healthy and eating before buying. That really is the risk and whether you are willing to take it is up to you. That is a problem for some, but a benefit for others depending on your LFS. I know that I would much rather prefer having the fish in my care at home than at the store, so online works well.
