The copper is the biggest deal for me...seems strange that they would but that in an aquarium substrate. Copper is poisonous to most everything, its just a matter of quantity.
sorry I dont mean to thread jack but I have a question. So If im starting a 55 salt and I wanted alot of rock in it but Didnt want to empy my wallet on...letttsss say 70 pounds of live rock, could I just get about 20-30 pounds of live rock and then get live sand and the other rock would turn live?

You really should start a new thread for this, but now that you asked.
You can do what you propose from just a rock standpoint, buy 20 lbs of good stuff and 50 lbs of base rock. It will take some time for it to become fully live, but it eventually will.
The live sand thing will not do any good besides emptying your wallet. The live rock will also make your sand live. The bagged live sand from stores is not live because it has been sitting there forever. Just buy some aragonite sand and put it in the tank. You could also get some actual live sand from either a LFS or fellow hobbyists tank that has been established for a while. You must make sure you aren't introducing any disease into your tank however if you choose to seed the live sand, so I would be cautious and most likely just let the LR seed it.
