Any sand?

What brand would it be for pool sand? i looked it up and the bags/buckets cost over $150 .__.

I was also wondering, I might be going to Long Beach, California, the actual beach, and taking home some sand from there. Would that work for a reef tank? Just after some cleaning of course.

(This is just curiousity)

Quickrete Pool Filter Sand seems to be the sand of choice among most aquarists using pfs.

As I said before about $5 for 50 pounds.

My local Menards has 50lb. bags of PFS for around $8 if I remember right, so $20 for 100lbs. isn't ridiculous if it's without sales tax...

This works I got 2 bags of this from my dads work for my 20gallon and it looks great just make sure you rinse it well in a big bucket or tub. (I think my dad was confused as to why I took poolfilter sand and was using it in a fish tank haha)
