id do some like sand sharks...or like nurse sharks...

The guy (I think he called himself Ali) wanting to build a shark pond and put a bull shark in it seems to have dropped off the forums. He probably realized that there were too many limitations (both practical and legal) hindering the project. I offered to assist him with acquiring the bull sharks if he provided the necessary aquarium and permit to properly house the sharks. I even offered him an exit plan should he no longer be able to keep them. I think in the end the money involved killed the idea.

there is una at mi LFS, i'll try and snap a pic on sunday.

I've actually talked with people who have built shark ponds. Some quite large.

Most range in the 300-5,000 gallon range for the species that can be kept in home aquaria - like Bamboos, Eppies, horns, & smoothhounds.

One guy I've talked to is actually planning to breed Bullhead sharks in his nearly 6,000 gallon shark lagoon.

I have also heard of a few people that have shark lagoons in the 20,000- 40,000 gallons range.

I used to have a frilled shark,But he was getting to costly and i had to realease him.when i did i almost cried.oh well,he is tagged so i can identify him.but im still very sad=(.he lived in a pond, but he was medium sized and eventually i would have needed an aquarium sized tank.

No offence but I can almost garuntee you did not have a real Frilled Shark, and how did you go about tagging this specimen? You probable did more harm than good and you realize you broke multiple laws by releasing that Shark back into public water ways after being kept in captivity.

i know,i like to torment people by saying that(no offense).its become a bad habit, ill try to stop. But actually i do have a shark pond.it has a bamboo shark.

here i got a pic for you. its not a good one but its one its in a lfs by me.

I have a 200 gallon 6'x4'x2' pond in my basement. I do miss seeing my sharks but they look very menicing from the top view of a pond. Feeding time looks like a frenzy from those sharks shows. I have a 17yr old 25" ID, 17' 4yr old imperial ID and a gorgeous 4yr old 22" Golden clown knife that swims on his side so I can see him. I am new to this club and will post a picture once I get a nice pic to post.
