As long you use a good device (go pure mech) and GREAT batteries youll be fine. Make sure you have a multimeter. The risks really start with crappy batteries or you start pushing sub .5ohm. Almost all my coils are 1.25 to .6 ohm.
My fiance vaps at 1.05 ohm (diamond coil wrapped by me). When I finally get around to rolling her a second diamond coil she will be around .6 or so.

When she ready to quit she'll can do it with the e-cigs. I smoked for 30 years nobody was going to tell me to quit. Like I said when she ready she has a good chance to quit with the e-cigs.
