any smokers on here?

Someone very close to me died of COPD which is Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. COPD is a smoking related illness where a person cannot breathe because of the damage done by smoking to the lungs. It is not a joke so please stop smoking.

COPD is projected to be the fourth leading cause of death worldwide by 2030.

There should be a law in banning tobacco and cigarettes. It is killing a lot of people and I did not even talk about lung cancer.
 
Im a former smoker and quit by using ecigs. Its been almost 3 years since i have had an analog cig. Prior i was smoking over a pack a day and even more then out on location for lighting work.

Switching to ecigs has been a great but its yet another habit i have to kick. Went for 28mg down to 6mg now but i find it hard in my current field to quit when im in homes with smokers or worse chain smokers with a 3' ashtray.

As for the damage of smoking ive see it first hand. A year and half my wife's aunt got ovarian* cancer and shortly after that her mother. Her mother passed 4 months after the doctors found it and her aunt just a month later.

Really? You going to ban anything that is "bad" for someone? I'd like to remove government out of the "what I choose to do to myself as an adult" equation.

I smoke. I've smoked on and off for 10 years. I'll quit when I want to.

LMAO you bough a toy. they sell them on the ice cream truck next to the gum in the shape of cigs.

I also almost quit ecigs after buying a POS Cig look alike and after talking to my original contact he told me i got the wrong one and 8mg was just teasing me due to my heavy habit.
Went and got a pen stile ecig and got some 24mg juice from halocig. Wow flavor was so close to the $9 packs i was buying off the black market i was hooked and after 3 days of freedom juice i never smoked another cancer stick.

Not long after that i got tired of changing bats more then once a day jumped up to the Silver bullet ecig and have been using it ever since. rock solid mod at the time and still is but sure wish i bought it first and now the pricing of all the gear has dropped.
 
They do have risk and if some one who is not watching there mix could overdose there customers. Pricing of cigs never got to me spending $90 a week was fine and they even had domestic brands for $3 for reds that where usa made not some bootleg china ones or the mexico ones.

Not trying to start a fight but, that " I'll quit when I want to" phrase by smokers is nonsense. I hear it from many smokers, I even used the phrase myself when I used to smoke. The truth is most smokers are in denial about how addicted they are and can not quit on command like that. Saying you will quit when you are ready is a cop out.
 
BTW banning cigs would probably cause more harm than good. I agree cigs and alcohol are big time killers but they tried to ban alcohol in the 20s and it didn't work out good. Big corporations own these companies and many are more powerful than the government. If you haven't figured it out by now making money is more important than lives. I mean they are destroying ecosystems on a planet that does not have infinite resources.
 
I spend about $90 a week on cigs I smoke camel crush lights. It's a hard habit to kick. Even worse is when I think about what I could do with all of that money. I started smoking at a vary young age I was 13 when my first "girlfriend" gave me cigs she stole from her mom. We would go by the train tracks smoke a cig get dizzy and kiss lol them were the days. I seen her not to long ago, 3 kids single mom and the worse drinker iv ever seen in my life...

I was smoking the ETC for about a month and it gave me a sore throat felt like I had strep throat... so I had to go back... think something in the oil cadence allergic... I need to quit!!!!
