Those engineered joists are very nearly as strong as 2x10's (in any case, it's not the joists that give a floor most of it's strength, it's the sheeting on top of the joists). Simply screw a 7/16 sheet of OSB to the bottom of the broken sheet, then support the bottom of that with either a post (or two) from the floor the way you've already done, or use 2x10's or 2x8's to create a bracing system off of the existing joists.
