Hey guess as some of you might know I got a 29 gallon tank (the best deal ever) and Im not sure of what fishes to put in there. It seems like most of the cichlids I love cant be there, or cant stay there for long. So m I trying to find good looking cichlids or community fish that are very unique and that I can place about 3 4 to 5 in a 29 any suggestion? remember I dont want the common cichlids neither the platies and mollies type. more like a ram type of fish that is unique lookin and not that popular.

dwarf geophagus (eartheater) cichlids. No idea where you can find them though; you're definitely going to have to order them from a serious dealer.

dwarf snakeheads, some fire mouths

Well sorry guys, but I think I will buy another corn snake. I mean I have too many fishes right now and some of them are dieing cuz of my lack of care for them. Being a fish lover I dont want that to happen again. I lost 10 platies on my comunity tank in the past 2 months and I m so angry with my self. So with a corn snake I m hopin that it will last long, plus I dont have to worry about water changes. What do you guys thing ? stick with first plan? or the corn snake? I want to do both really but I m afraid I havent have time to give to my pets like they desrve.

Never to many fish, you speak sacrilige! snicker

Isnt a corn snake too big for a 29? I thought they grow to around 6', which is too big for a 29. Maybe im wrong. Ive heard the aquarium should be as long as the snake minimum, i really doubt a 29 is 6' long... If u want a unusual snake that (by that guideline) could fit in a 29 would be a rubber boa. Those snakes are really cool.
