Yeah, but those turtles get large.

It would be best to go with a smaller sized adult turtle like a MALE terrapin- they get 6" max, and they can't catch fish either. So then it's small enough, and not a HUGE poop machine, and it won't pick off the tank stock.

Maybe a pond in the basement for the turtle. I should run up to Captive Born Retiles here in town. They always have lots of turtles.
