Gar should be ok with the arow especially if it's something like a florida gar. More scared and won't eat fish that are too big. But not top dwelling. I think your arow is the best top dwelling fish you can get.

i think that arow will start useing the top soon, so i would weight a bit befor geting another surface fish

No you don't ... and you're being modest because you actually have a snow arowana, possibly the most beautiful top water fish around.

If I had such a unique fish, I would house it by itself or with much smaller tankmates..
