Any suggestions on moving a large tank solo?

Are you friendly at all with any neighbors? You could ask one to help and offer to pay $20, which is not a lot to guarantee the tank and your back does not break.

Like someone else said, make a post asking for help with your city/zip code in the title. You could also post on Craigslist asking for help, but that is less likely to find someone nice enough.

Yeah, 110 is pushing it. 75 is easy, but 110 would be hard to get your arms around. Knock on a neighbor's door. People are still real.

Yeah, the good thing is that my neighbors are very nice people, but the negatives is that the husband only speaks Spanish and even if I wait until his wife gets home he is kind of older so I wouldn't want to have him lift that much weight. I know for a fact though that he would try to help me if I asked. I may be able to get one of the younger people from the building next door, if not I may have to post an ad on CL.

I really wouldn't suggest using a dolly i tried to my 265 with one and cracked the bottom pane. Thank god for some reason my 265 was double pane with 1/2" glass on each end.

That sounds like a good idea to post something on here. First I will go down to a Uhaul not to far from me that has people there that looking for work. I might go see how much someone there will charge to help me get it up the steps.

That's what I feared would happen to me if I tried to use one.

aren't you scared of all that weight living upstairs? i'm wanting to bring my 240g along with me to the new condo but i'm scared it will fall thru the floors. lol

I moved my acrylic 240 by myself and put a 6 inch crack on the top pane.

Bad idea. Especially going up a couple flights of stairs. As suggested get help lol
