I recently moved to a new house and couldn’t bring my monster fish(my beloved dovii) so for now I’m my 125 I got some new fish for now. I got a little tiger Oscar, two gold severums, 4 red hook silver dollars, a Senegal bichir, 6 large tiger barbs, and a jack Dempsey. Any thoughts? I plan to get a nice group of lyonsi to go in that tank but still any comments or concerns with my choices? If I go through with the lyonsi from Rapps they would most likely replace the Oscar and Dempsey to avoid aggression issues. I’m also super excited about my new pond I got a dozen comet goldfish and two showa and one sanke koi for it. I forgot to mention I brought my pair of convicts to go in there(for now)

Sounds good, probably about maxed out that tank (I assume upgrades?soon).
You might be able to keep all your fish outdoors in the summer months.

I am planning on taking out the Oscar, jack, and convicts once I get the lyonsi. So would it be too much as the severums, dollars, barbs, and 6 lyonsi BUT once they pair off it will just be ONE PAIR. I’m not concerned about the barbs just look nice for now. My 125 has a FW4 for filtration. Thanks for everyone’s time!

You’re thinking of adding 6 more lyonsi? You need a way bigger tank to house all those fish.

Let me re-word this. I’m really asking if six 1.5 inch lyonsi UNTIL they pair off then there will be ONE PAIR. Along with 2 gold severums currently an inch, a small school of 4 silver dollars be okay in a 125 gallon six foot by two foot. The other fish will go into separate tanks once I order them they just look nice in here UNTIL that time comes.

Well, I think your tank is undersized for that stocking. Without the lyonsi.

And your tiger barbs will get eaten.

+1 drastically overstocked and that sen will struggle for food as the others grow
