Any tilapia keepers here?

None now, but a while back, Tilapia bythobates,

and someday, Alcalapia and Iranocichla, these are not technically Tilapia, but Tilapines never thet less.
Little too small to eat, unless you're a smelt lover.
 
Oh yeah, I forgot about the niloticus, I kept them in a pond from spring theu fall in Milwaukee. They tolerated temps down in the 50s F and lived off algae and cherrys that fell into the pond. They were 1" when pit in, in May and were this size in fall.

Yes fish grow real fast outside and colors enhanced. What did you do come fall bring them inside? When I have seen them in lakes they allways seem to travel in groups.
 
I have a Paratilapia Bleekeri. Absolutely awesome fish.

I have never seen that type before great looking fish. I am no cichlid expert but get TFH and thats a fish have never seen.

I notice you have submerged bamboo. I thought it died that way would rot?
