any tips on breeding ebjd x jd

Yeah don't do it.
 
I have no idea why he said not to. That is the current method to get back to EBJD. I have a thread trying to figure out the genetics, so if you do any breeding with them, keep us all posted! And that direction is the best since the blues tend to be smaller.

i have a tank with the same thing going on ... ebjd with jack dempsey. they are 1.5 to 2 inches right now ... Not mature enough obviously .... 5 ebjd and 2 jacks. waiting to see them pair up ... i also have 10 gold jd no bigger than 1.5 " going to pair them up with the ebjd x jack fry to get some ebgjd !! well see how it goes. iv been feeding them 3 to 5 times a day ... short amounts but trying to bulk them up quick and doing atleast 15% water changes a week . Along way to go ..ill let you know the progress from the ebjd x jack dempsey
 
just brought a 45gal ima put them in there since they dont have no instress of eacj othere in my 240 should i design the tank or just leave it all glass i know i few people who breed fh like dat
