ok koo and i have mine in a tank with nothing in it should i put gravel in but i know of peope who breed fh that way what do u guy think ?

i do minimal gravel, and a flowerpot for Jd's, high temps mixed with lower water changes, and high protein for the female,
ebjd usually take longer to mature, what are their current sizes and can you post pics if possible? just curious

Here are pixs I just took of them 5mins ago , and both of them are 5 1/2 inch the female is just fatter and I never see her eat lol also my male ebjd have been growing because she was way bigger than him when I first got her ... And one more question should I leave the light on or off
4-6 inches depending, i would start will a lot of slightly colder water temps, a nice big flower pot, and start feeding really good
food for these guys, we feed high protein and high fat content food for them, example: NLS,Omega1, and frozen brine shrimp,
stress will be the biggest thing to worry about with these guys, sometimes its take more then a month for them to start showing any signs
of wanting to breed, in this scenario youll be waiting around for the male, raise the temp and do small water changes to start add a pot,
and minimal gravel, the pot also lets them feel more secure and gives them a place to hide, we usually have better success when the breeding pair
is not in direct walking paths, and in a quiet less traffic area of your house,
