Any tips on making a "makeshift" lid to work with Eheim auto feeders?

The closest place that sells one of those back strips is about 90 miles away. otherwise for the big tank I would.

Anyways, my cardboard "lids" have turned out better than I intended. they are surprisingly solid. I just have to hope I taped every CM of the cardboard like I think I did, so that it doesn't get wet and soggy.

For the tanks that have glass canopies, you can just turn the canopy around so the plastic strip is toward the front of the tank. Slide the strip over to make enough room for the feeder to deposit the food through the hole.

You could also use egg crate lighting panels to make temporary lids, just cut them to size for the various tanks. The food will fall through the holes.
