Any tips or suggestions on doing native tanks

That sucks. That was a really nice looking piece of wood.
For the OP I went out to a local pond after a nasty storm and found all kinds of great stuff like broken branches and cypress knees that had come loose. They were disgusting though an I had to spend several days with a "flamethrower" killing all the little critters that swarmed out when I put it in water.

Just starting a 75 gallon native southeastern pennsylvania tanks. I have 6 semotilus corporalis to begin. I'll probably just keep them until next spring. Any suggestions on what to do about logs and rocks and such. Moneys tight and I've seen some beautiful tanks on here with local decor.

Make sure that if you decided to get rid of your fish in spring that you obey all local and federal rules and regulations on the release, or transport of native fishes.

The wood will probly take a few days, I also used non-idonized salt if it's too large to boil.

I used Sea Salt in rainwater in a walmart plastic container for 3 day...works great.
