I have an 18.5" Temensis Peacock Bass i bought from a guy that had several other Peacocks he said he raised them to the size they are now. He said they ate shrimp and tilapia. I got him back late november only feed him once a week feeders because i HATE feeding feeders for all the reason they suck but that's all he will eat ... I tried tiger shrimp ,tilapia, krill, salmon, worms , massivore pellets nothing working since the day i got him .. only wants to eat feeders driving me a little crazy he was the first and is the most dominant of the 4 fish in this tank. I don't know what else to try that might work on him ... any suggestion deeply appreciated

I personally don't like feeders also. Wth that being said, I'm in the process of training my 5x 5" azul 1x 4" momo 1x 6" tem. It's been 4 day and they won't eat anything other that blood warm or feeders, of course! My last pbass I had, that is sold, took me 6 weeks (scales and bones) and finally eat market shrimp. You will have to starve him and that seems to work. Just be patients my friend he will eventually come around and eat. Trust me he will eat eventually. Good luck and happy fish keeping!

Well about 15 years ago i did that with smaller P.Bass like 2 to 3 inch size and after 7 or 8 days i had them pellet trained and they eat just about anything frozen as well .. i knew this guy would not be that easy so after the third day i got him I offered him tiger shrimp and tilapia that was a no go so then every 3 or 4 days offered him food no go so then i stretched it out too just over a week and still just looks at it drop as 3 other fish in there eat it like it's no tomorrow .... guess i stretch it out 2 weeks + maybe and see if he will come around .... thanks Dee eng

That's a big fish. He could go a good 2 weeks without eating. I'd just starve him and feed nothing but pellets and cut fish for the next 2 weeks he will catch on eventually
