Only Eheim and Fluval for me......

I have heard great things about the cascade line and they are pretty inexpensive.

I hear with Ehiem substratePro they are pretty dam good at filtering...

So far I've only used Eheims (picked up two 2217's from another MFKer with double tap connectors and all media for $180 and LOVE them!) and a Magnum 350 (mechanical only), but have also been wondering about the Jebo canister filters.

While I would love to throw Eheims on all of my tanks, that would simply be too expensive for me at the moment. I like canister filters and was hoping to add one to my RD's 75g and maybe a small one to my salvini fry growout tank, but the cost is kind of prohibitive.

Anyone else have anything good to say about the Jebo's? They're selling for pretty decent prices on ebay right now...

180? for the 2217? Petco and petsmart are selling them for 150 and less.

I just looked back at my checking statement and it was $165 for 2 Eheim 2217's, all hosing and intakes/outputs, 2 of the double tap connectors, already packed with media and extra filter pads included.

I was about to go ahead and buy a couple from Petsmart, but then I found that steal here on MFK :)

When I started having problems with my Eheim 2217 a while back I started looking at a cheap replacement for it and The Jebo seemed to be the best bang for the buck I did find a review from a guy by searching for a review on the one I was buying and got a post on a forum from 3 years ago showing detailed pics of the filter what came with it and him setting it up and doing flow tests on it with and without media in it. then on the last page of the thread was an update 2 years later saying he was still happy with the filter everything was still working like the day he bought it.

Not sure if it will last as long as my 2217 had it says it was made in West Germany not Germany like newer ones I've seen.

I had a oddyssea light short out and almost burned my house down. scary, as, hell.

That is an amazing deal. who did you get it from?

I don't have the private messages anymore, but I'm pretty sure it was Cozmo. If only I could find more at that price!
