i read somewhere that all these species (vieja) terratories never overlap in the wild, so if you try to keep them in the Community type tank you are asking for trouble.....i currently have bifasiatum, hartwigi, fenestratum in with dovii, fredrickstahli, festae, tetracanthus and trimaculatum......several of them are females....but this is an experiment at the moment....they are all in a 5x2x2 ......its a bit like "last man standing".....BUT SO FAR SO GOOD.....its a bit strange,....several differant species are trying to spawn with each other...cubans and dovii ........and.... hartwigi and bifasiatum.....i have found that if i keep them at 24o, the aggression is kept to a minimum....but the minute i do a water change and the tempreture creeps up ...thats when the fireworks starts....so i guess what im trying to say is you can have all these species together if you manage them correctly
low temps and space is the clue.....if you want to breed these species,,,do a water change ...crank up the temp....and wait for them to pair up....then scoop them out...into a breeding tank and watch them go.....
