Any way to cut glass?

A glass shop if they are any good will ask you if the tank is temperd if they don't ask you turn around and walk out the door i don't think you can cut tempered glass and a glass shop will not gaurentee no damages and you definatley cannot drill holes in a tempered tank search around some more for h.o.b filters just use a higher rated one or pm me with the size in inches i have a box full of old one's cover shipping and if some fit i could send you all of them.
 
Just modify a HOB filter!
 
go to aquatraders.com!!!!!!!!!! their hob filters are $12 bucks and can accomodate fat rims. also they have 320gph canisters for $50. i got one and its great! the place is amazing!!! everyone on here needs to find out about it.

Word. Having a doc dig stuff out of your eyeball is NOT fun. I can also speak from experience.

Back to the tempered question, if it's tempered, then don't even think of it..
 
best way is to score the notch u want out, use pliers(the glass pliers are way better) and plier off.theese are the pliers

I have put hardware store elbows on HOB intakes glued on supports to lift the filter so i could put a glass or plastic channel to let the water run down into the tank over thick rims...If you can hide the Mickey Mouse Mechanics,almost anything is possible..
