Do you have a problem with brown algee?

^ no CK like more shady/darker areas (also as they are nocturnal), but they can be accustomed to the bright lights of an aquarium bulb.

But what do you mean by agression? I've never seen a CK be standoffish and I've had one for over a year. I tried to feed him baby cichlids once and he ran. I was actually surprised at how docile he is. Granted, he is a killing MACHINE, but he never kills or hurts things out of anger, just to eat. He's eaten lots of big stuff though that I tried out as tank mates (rams, gouramis, angelfish, etc). Is this what you mean?

CKs vary in aggression. I would say most are pretty mellow, but you can come across some pretty belligerent ones. I've had a few bad eggs.

My kn just swims around the tank and snaps at his tank mates no reason that i can think of but i would have to say he is so much better now then he was since i put him in a Qtank for a few weeks and got him off live feeders dont know which one did it but i think he is way better now thanks guys for all your help i think we got it
