I had this happen with a silver I used to keep. It jumped out and was out of water for roughly 3 min. it ended up under my bed I placed him back into tank and put right in front of powerhead (like resuscitating a fish while fishing) after that he was swimming abnormaly and kept sinking to the bottom it eventually died 2 days later. Wish you better luck with your jardini keep us posted.

glad to hear that he made it.

It happened to me w/ a giant pacu I had living in a outdoor pond. the pacu jumped out overnight and the only thing that saved him was the rain that night. When I woke up to check on the pond the next day he was missing and the ground was dry already. I guess he flopped his way over to where the rain water drains off our roof (15-20ft from the pond) and was sitting on the wet ground under our rain gutter. Put him back in the pond right away thinking he's a goner. It swam around in a corkscrew motion for a couple days but eventually he pulled thru and got back to normal.

I had XXXX aro jump out in the middle of the night. Luckily my wife heard it flapping around on our wood floors. I woke up and freaked out so i just picked it up and threw it back into the tank. It then jumped right back out again hitting the hard floor. This time no flapping it was knocked out cold. All i hear is my wife screaming its, "dead its dead"!!(wanted to strangle her as well) I picked the aro back up and held it underneath a air stone hoping it would come back to life. I kept it there for a couple minutes and then i started seeing its gills slowly start moving again. About 5 min later it was swimming around again but very awkwardly. He recovered fully and is still a alive today been about 3 years.

i was reading an article in tfh whentheese guys recieved a shipment of asian aros that had been confiscated by the us quarantine. anyway they had to revive them by shoving them in front of an airstone
