Had a bit of spare time so thought I'd clean my filter and do a quick 20% waterchange a 20 min job. 2 hours later I was wondering how much fun it would be to take the filter outside and beat it to death with a hammer

Lol! Did that filter pissed you off! I've been there once, I was trying to take my skimmer out of my sump, it was stuck and I didn't have room to remove it so I ended up braking the ish out of it! And slammed it on the ground, end of story!
Something of the same ilk happened to me recently. Was doing a water change on my 220 and when I syphon it out to my drain it takes a few minutes so ill do something else in the meantime.Long story short I come back after a few minutes and see water all over my floor. The damn end of the hose came dislodged from my drain and was emptying all over my floor. Good news is my floors are clean as hell now.
hmm don't think I have to many frustrating stories. I was pissed off at a fish once so I fed it to my gars. I was fishing off the dock at my old house and caught a perch around 6". went to take the hook out and got sliced by the gills. I was so pissed at it that I threw it in the gar tank, end of story. I actually have a video of it

I did that to my Eheim's when they started to leak and I couldn't do anything to fix them....lol. Destroying my 110 gallon aquarium stand was the final straw for them.
I'm usually calm and collected but we had this printer/scanner that just pissed me off to no end one day when I had to print something. Needless to say, it doesn't exist anymore. Had a close encounter with the driveway. It sure gave the kids a fun story to tell a little later. Anyways, not really fish related but I feel your pain my friend!
I had an old emperor 400 that was making noises. Took if off to clean and the cord caught between the door and floor. It ripped the filter right out of my hand and landed on the floor. Cover cracked, intake tube broke so got pissed and kicked the damn filter against the wall. End of emperor filter.
