Squid aren't very popular pets for the same reason as Octopus they don't live very long 1 year is about all you'll get from most species

Other then that they are very fun pets they grow very quickly and eat a ton ( i'm reffering to squid as a hole here i've never kept the species in the vid )

:iagree: Here in San Diego we have a squid that live for about a year and then they breed and then die :( But if you were able to have a school of them and able to breed them well then.... who knows. As for tank size or filtration your best bet would be to ask a director of a big aquarium

I've heard squid do terribly in captivity, because they rocket into the sides of the tank, and die.

i think its horrible to put squid in tanks they would just thump around the tank and hurt themselves. Their shape saws something of their life style open ocean at hjigh speeds.

Squid can move at high speed but don't all the time they can move very slowly and use stelth to hunt as we'll

Many small species of squid do very we'll in captivity alot of people breed small squid in captivity to be sold as calamari or just as pets

Squid should be treated just like any active fish long tanks work best and the bigger the tank the better

i still want it
