Anybody have trouble moving Lates?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Haha, he's still alive but still upside down. Everyday I've been holding him up right and force feeding him freeze dried krill. I also have been trying to gently squeeze his bloated stomach. It seems to be slowly getting better. If anybody got some help for me let me know please. Thanks

Never had this problem. But barramundi is a pretty strong fish. Saved mine from lack of o2 swimming upside down. Hope he pulls through.

He's still alive. rubbing the bloated part of the body helped. The swelling has gone down and he's on the bottom of the tank now.

I think he will be ok.
Just keep doing what youre doing.
I once had a dat that when I first got it I thought it was dead, no movement, nothing.

I put it infront of the powerhead in my tank and held him until he gained strength.

I belive Miguel had some asian arowanas shipped to him that had the same problem as your 'mundi.

thats good to see...it getting better i mean. keep us posted on how it goes.

He's still alive and is eating better from my hand. I also found something that fits him perfect to hold him upright.

I'm a little scared by the way his back is starting to curve.

Lates are very prone to this. They don't handle stressful situations too well.
