You've got a good start. What's your goal? Are you aimin to compete, get better in sports, just get more fit or health reasons (I'm guessing not the last)?

Thanks! I was just mostly looking to thicken up a bit because I was pretty skinny. I do play soccer so I do workout for that but I just mostly lift because I enjoy it. I'm sort of like a recreational body builder if that makes sense. Haha.

Makes complete sense. That's how I am except I'm more into doing races like spartan sprint and tough mudder. Mud runs pretty much. Hopefully try ninja warrior 1 day but that's super intense!

How do you guys balance cardio with lifting as to lose fat but not burn muscle as well as calories?

If you do a lot of cardio, you will find taking in lots of carbs and proteins pretty easy. All about doing it clean, though.

Haha actually, I played that for 1 team. Didn't like it that much. But we're gettin off topic from the thread. Yay weightlifting!

Well, not that much since lifting is beneficial for most sports !;) I will start lifting regularly in about a month.
