anybody know anything about nicaraguense

I just bought a nicaraguense today at the LFS does anyone know about what size they start to show color or anything about them if you have one please post a pic id love to see other peoples

Nice nic. Color comes in at about 2-4 inches. Some pix of my old male are in da sig \/

I think they start to color up around 2.5" - 3" mark.

cool what kind of growth rate I only got one I have a convict male gold severum raphael cat lace cat and spotted cat in there dont know if I should get another would I have to worry about agression towards my other cichlids if I had 2

What size tank do you have? They grow about 1/2'' a month, sometimes faster.

its in a 55 gallon for now I hope to get a 125 to 220 gallon in the next three months.

Could anybody give me a gental agresiveness of these as I have been looking at them also. They would be housed in a ca/sa comunity tank (265)

Males are more aggressive, IMO. About the same temprament as other Ca/Sa cichlids.

Thanks right now my carpintis is rulein the tank I'm just kooking for some more color.

they average around 7-9inches and can be aggressive but a mainly calm....best kept with firemouths and convicts...idk about with bigger cichlids....
