Anybody like djent, progressive, technical metal?

I switch guitars...I don't tune on stage, as I think it's very unprofessional, but that's a whole other topic. I prefer a 7-string to baritones because of the string size and tension, which is probably the same reason a lot of people do. There's always going to be people doing it for the cool factor though.

Anything really. I was classically trained for 2 years until my teacher offed himself, so I switched to jazz for a year. I've played rock/metal for the majority of my gigging days, but did play some R&B, soul, motown, and pop stuff on the St. Louis circuit.
