So I bought this one a while ago and the person I bought it from claimed it as fenestratus. Obviously not one I've ever seen before but as a baby it seemed possible. I purchased a show piece bifa from this guy so I took a chance and well its growing up and I am wondering what it is.

One in question looks like a hybrid.

Head shape is not that of a fene

I would assume it's a hybrid but the mouth is at a strange angle that seems like it's mixed with something thats not even in the vieja family...almost even amphilophus like

Yes! I was thinking amphilophus hybrid however the lateral line makes me figure it has vieja in it too. It also has vertical bars when angry. Then I looked at vieja rotchswanz and saw a very similar mouth structure just the colors are not right. However ive had a bifa with that same mouth structure when young and then it flattened out.

There is one pic that the caudal fin looks like Hartwegi, and that would also speak for the vertical bars when angry.
