Anybody think a poly could eat a loach?

Well I have an ornate poly, and Im wonderin if he could eat my yo yo loaches, my zebra loaches or my clown loaches. I've personally seen a 14" tigrinus cat try and eat a 3" zebra loach and the zebra loach fought his way back out. But, poly have much different mouthes. Do I have anything to worry about?

I agree, ornate will try and probably succeed in eating them.

My senegal got a hold of a small loach...he's no longer with us.

I would guess it would eat a loach, but every fish is different, but I know very few fish that will say no to a free meal lol

even a poly can eat smaller polys, other tankmates wont last that long.

I added 7 nice 4-4.5" loaches in w/ my endi's that were 10-16" and before I knew it I only had 2 loaches left

Well not many things really want to eat a loach because of their barb plates. This doesnt affect polypterus?
