Anybody? Post your pics and experiences here . .. want to know if you were successful and if so, how. If not, why and what would you change so that it can work.

You need a nice size tank over a 100g. I have keep a flowerhorn in a community of bloodparrots and other large cichlids when the flowerhorn is not to old but by the time the floowerhorn hit a year old the male became to aggressive for the tank. I still have a female in a 135g with several bloodparrots and rope fish with no problems. I have heard of people keeping a group of flowerhorns togeather in a tank over 200g but I would not do it for two reasons 1) only the dominate male will have his best colors and that others will look dull 2) When flowerhorns pair off to breed the aggresstion is going to be too much for the others you will have a lot of damaged fins and fish. Flowerhorn just look best if they are only one per tank. Just my two cents

i have one with 8 fh in a 150 g. im gonna roll with it til the fish get about 6 inches, then start to thin it out. a lot of spawning goes on with the fish, every week another female lays eggs
