Anybody use that 'speckle/textured' spray paint for a background?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I didn't use it for a background, but i did use it for a piece in my one tank. I scuffed up a 1/4th piece of pvc and painted it with that paint, let it dry over night and stuck it in the water and it started rubbing off... so i took it out, repainted it and then applied a clear coat after letting it dry and hav'nt had any more trouble been under water about 8 months now.

Nice! that does look really good. I'll need to practice on some old tanks I have laying around. Thanks!

Now we just need some background pics

The pvc is bottom right making a sort of tunnel in the front of the tank the cichlids actually use all the time.

Bump!

I really like the textured paint on the bottom of the tank. If you want to go bare bottom, that seems like the way to go.

Has anyone painted the inside with Dryloc? Or just the bottom.
I'm wondering how well it sticks to glass.
