Anyboxy keep Spotted Bullhead Catfish?

I am wanting some spotted bullhead catfish. Anybody know of a source? The closest place they are native is four states away. I just started building an offroad camper van with the purpose in mind of catching American native fish to stock in ponds. As long as they are legal in Texas and will be good mor my ponds and or aquariums. But that will be a long way off I am afraid.

Have you tried Jonas aquarium or Sachs aquaculture? I know Jonas can sometimes get fish that aren’t listed

Havent personally tried Sachs yet but heard good things. I have gotten fish from jonahs and zimmermans they were always helpful definitely worth emailing those 3 places about them. Was always interested in the spotted's as well

I’ve checked out Jonas and Zimmermans but have only ordered from Sachs, but they were very helpful and friendly and the fish were great.
So between us, looks like a green light on all three lol

I had no idea how small the area is where spotted bullheads are found.
I just bought a small Ford Cargo Van. I am in the process of converting it into a camper van.
The first trip the wife and I are taking is to the Florida Panhandle to try and collect some Spotted Bullhead Catfish.
I think they are the prettiest native American catfish.
I found only a few people who have added them to their "Life List" of fish they caught.
I contacted one of the guys and he told me where he caught his spotted bullhead and what he used for bait.
He was fishing on the bottom with worms. Nothing special.
The plan is to vacation looking for unique fish that can be legally collected.
The wife and I will also hit roadside junk (antique) shops.
We will see local attraction and fine good local food too.

I now have 11 tilapia in my 75.
I am going to reduce to 1 male and 2 female and put the cat in there.
I will release the excess tilapia into my pond.
The tilapia were bought from a supplier here in Texas and are the type legal in Texas (This sentence added to reduce hammering)
I had a black bullhead in a 55 years ago with a turtle, big crawfish and a bluegill.
I released all the fish and just let the aquarium sit for almost a year.
After a the better part of a year I went to clean it up and was planning to set it up again. It was about 1/3 full of water still.
I felt bad, after all that time the bullhead catfish was still in there, alive and doing well. He was not thin either!
Still baffled...
