My big silver has bitten me unintentionally during handfeeding. Draws blood, but more of a shock then pain.

My 2' silver aro jumped about 6" above the tank to bite my hand that was sitting there as I was doing maintanence. My P bass bite anything that hits the surface of the water so I have to put my whole hand in quickly or I will get bit.

Least im not the only one then! ive got a small gar, had snakeheads and oscars but never been biten until today maybe it is just luck on my part then!

had a midas that bit me and drew blood everytime i cleaned the tank

My clown knife has taken a few chomps at me, but very gentely. Not like how he eats live fish...

I've only ever been bitten by small fish and oscars. The oscars scared the crap out of me once when I wasn't paying attention and talking to a customer while I sprinkled pellets into their pond, I think I jumped a foot in the air. I've had a few near-misses with the pacu and snook, but amazingly the tiny blue diamond tetras are by far the most vicious. I can't reach over their tank without them leaping up at my fingers like the adventure-movie shoals of bloodthirsty piranhas.

I've been bitten by several of my fish. Mainly to me not paying attention while cleaning or feeding. Worst bite was from a 20" pacu:WHOA:!!! I was pulling out the fake plants and he wanted a bite-lol. Got me below my thumb on the palm of my hand. Didn't break the skin but bruised me pretty good(turned purple)...That's what I get for not paying attention:ROFL:!!!

When I had Oscars they used to pull on my fingers and I've been bitten by my sharks a few times.
