Yeah.. thats how they are, unfortunately they are only orange in color when juveniles. But they will look amazing when bigger with red bellies and a red tail...:naughty:

Have you bred them before?
 
ill let you guys know if anything happens over the next few weeks... lol I had Jewel Cichlids that suicided my whole tank when they started breeding... I put them in with RBPs because they were killing everything.... I went to college came back the tank was green. and the Rbps were in a corner I looked towards the back of the tank and more babies were swimming around... I was like geez...

Almost positive... You nhave pics? I think they are colorful then lose it then get it back... THats wat ive been reading
