Any Bros here currently keeping some Orientalis or asiatica in thier tank can share with me more infos on them and best to share some photos of them as i have fall in love with them since the very first day when i went crazy into channa but they were nowwhere to be found in singapore so i assumed its really kind sad so i hope to see any bros do keep some of these rare beauty!!!

i keep a group of orientals at the moment , they are really dwarf species (upto 10cm )they like tropical temps and prefer softer water but have been bred in diferant water so likely adjust pretty easy to most waters , i will try and get some pics of them and post up over weekend

i have kept asiatica , they are what i would describe as medium size snakehead (32-35cm) they prefer cooler water around 18deg and are also unfussy about water perameters , they are pretty mean to each other and are probably best kept in a very large tank or a single specamin , here are some pics of the one i had , another member of the forum has him now .

cheers col

i will dig out the e-mail of the breeder that i got mine from and pm it to you if i find it, iam unsure of the logistics involved with shipping international ,but worth asking the guy , the reason you dont see any in lfs ,is that there amoung some of the rarest snakehead in the wild , whenever they are in lfs they turn out to be gachua 95% of the time . luckly some german breeders managed to breed some that where collected then some uk guys traveled to germany and picked up some of there fry and have since bred them themselves, so at the moment finding them outside europe would be extreamly dificult.

i will also go have a play with camera and see if i can get any useable pics for you

the price for the fish will be very cheep around £6 each it would be the shipping if he can do it that would boost up the price . to boost your chances of a yes , i have found a delivery service that will ship fry worldwide located in the uk ! ,not an easy task , you might even be able to contact them yourself and arrange the shipping that would boost your chances even further , anyway here is the link http://www.parcel2ship.co.uk/index.html sending pm now with e-mail ,
