Anyone cut 1/2" thick plate glass before

You are going to disassemble the tank before you cut the glass right? Another thing I forgot to mention is take some masking tape and put 3 or 4 layers on the bottom of the saw as a cushion between the saw and glass
 
If you are talking about the 300 glass tank im using the glass from then yes its already all apart, yeah I was going to use masking tape so I don't scratch the glass
 
Is there anything wrong with the tank you are getting the glass from? Why not sell it and buy a piece of glass the correct size?
 
Pretty much only thing wrong is its disassembled, really don't have the money to buy a new piece but figured I could still sell to someone who can buy a new piece and reassemble it of I can keep it for another project down the road
 
Its 8' wide 2' deep and 30" tall I paid 1K would take $300 for the rest, bottom is 3/4" thick
