this year has been excellent compared to last year. but then again, i'm getting out a lot more this year.

It's been just the opposite for me...maybe that's my problem? I've been out less than half as many times as I had last year at this time. I haven't even caught a bass yet this year. Last year I caught my first lm of the season on March 1st, pretty early by CO standards. I've never had trouble catching fish like I have this season... maybe I just need to get my mojo back lol.

your mojo or your BANJO...the best lure known to man...

i caught 4 largemouth so far in the past 2 weeks that i have been fishing.

its weird because i havnt caught any other fish yet

Its been fairly slow for me this year as well. Im off on my usual spot/largemouth numbers but up on my striper/hybrid numbers. The crappie bite hasnt turned on much yet but had a good day drifting live bait last weekend.

I actually have some, but I have barely used them. I used to use one of the bigger sizes (around 6") and I would put a small piece of a nightcrawler on the hook. The perch would attack the worm, basically trying to steal from another fish that had a meal. Some of the perch would actually be smaller than the lure! Aside from that, they have pretty much sat in storage lol. Do they really work that well?

Every time I have fished for bass this year it has been with the flail-stick. It might seem like a bit of a disadvantage to flyfish for them, but I really enjoy the challenge, and there are actually times when I outfish my spinfishing buddies! (Just not lately lol)
