They both get two thumbs down in my book. But I guess it depends on the type and size of fish that you are feeding. I keep large-growing cichlids and those two brands just don't cut it. I have to feed them much better pellets as their staple diet. My growouts do like Tetra Crisps though (a part of a diet of other brands). But once they gain size the crisps are gone.Red_Belly_Pacu;4888112;4888112 said:In my view, the company Wardley is comparable to Tetra when supplying fish food.
I understand what you are saying but you can't judge the quality of food so simply. Tetra,Omega, NLS, Hikari; all of these brands will have some ingredients in common but the ratios and the sources of the ingredients will differ. I say feed what ever you like and what you can afford. Just know that there are some differences in certain brands that go deeper than just percentages. Some of the differences can cause your fish to grow large and look healthy from the outside, but inside they may have internal damage that may lessen their lifespan or cause sudden health problems. But like I said before, feed what you like. Everybody has there own personal preferences and brands for feeding their fish. I like the foods that have worked well for me just as you do.Red_Belly_Pacu;4888191;4888191 said:My point is that 45% protein, 10% fat, and 3% fiber is a tropical fish diet. The Purina food that I feed has that.
Hikari Massivore has about the same amount of protein, fat, and fiber.
