Got mine at like two inches, had him for like a year, and now he's 8.5''. I think that there's a banded type (mine) and another type.

Yeah, he doesn't really bother anyone (yet, as I've heard).
BUT he keeps my Un-ID'd pink cichlid in line. Makes sure he doesn't pick on the other fish.

What does he eat? Mine eats bw, algae disks, and krill. What size tank is he in? I heard that they can hold their own against the toughest cichlids.
I had a 12 incher that I grew up from a baby.

had him for about 5 years and only then did he get mean...had to find a new home for him.
