anyone else hate hex tanks,corner tanks,etc?

but does anyone agree with me that with tall tanks and hex tanks,your paying for more gallons,but your able to hold just as many fish as a smaller,less expensive rec tank?

it just depends on what type of fish you plan to stock.
i dont quite agree though. if you can aerate the water sufficiently by other means, surface area matters less.

Yes, I would say that is generally true. However, if the only thing people cared about was how many fish per dollar, we would all be keeping our fish in Rubbermaid tubs!

Well some mans passion is another mans pioson. I keep a 5 ft tank that is only 14 inches high for my plecos but I have a 39 gallon hex that is perfect for my Black moor and calico fancy goldfish. I use them both. Depends on what you want them for. I think the hex looks better but of course not as practical. But like me I only have 2 fish in the hex. That tank in that pic you have is just ridiculus. LOL

ok so if the 65 hex cant hold that many fish and niether can the 30g...then why pay more for the bigger tank..even if u got it for cheap the cost of upkeeping more water is going to be greater.if im going to pay more for a bigger tank its going to be able to house bigger or more fish

i cannot stand hex tanks.i dont like corner tanks.i dont like tall tanks.i think they are completely pointless and look horrible.i dont understand the point of them.id rather have alot more horizontal space for my fish to swim.anyone agree?

i agree on all except the corner tank.


corner tanks are sexy as hell same as the half circle tanks.

but for the tall **** yea it is pointless
