Anyone else have this problem with oscars?

I bet the worms you're carrying by, to the Managuense are really big, eh? MONSTERS! Lol.

Lol yea, well, I used to give my Managuense (only 5 inches) full 8 inch night crawlers, he would eat them slowly, swallowing what he could until he had room to fit more. After a while though i decided to stop overfeeding him, so now he gets small trout worms (they're like 3 inches and 2mm thick lol)

The oscar is scared of both.. he's pathetic, and I'm truly not a fan of oscars lol. From my personal experience they are way too emotional and tend to sit there and do nothing. The only excitement i get from watching my dad's Oscar is when he throws in some feeder gold fish that he picks up whenever he's out. (yes yes i know store feeders are bad, i give my Managuense home bread convict fry, but my dad insists that "since he's never gotten sick from them before, he probably wont get sick from them later").

One of my Oscars was afraid of live crickets on the surface. It was not until I mixed in floating pellets and that he saw the silver dollars eating them that he understood it was food. Took quite a few attempts but he has the hang of it now. He has never been afraid of worms.
