Anyone else keep Sumo Loaches?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Don’t keep them myself but from what I know they are quite territorial and nippy between their own type but not aware of aggression to other fish in the tank. Look to have plenty of hideouts and breaks in sight to keep aggression down.

First time I saw sumo loaches was at 1 of my local fish stores and thought he was a kuhli at first. Fortunately the guy working there told me what they really were and they shouldn’t go in my 20 gallon:

i buy 2 sumo loach now and after 1 week in my coldwater tank i must say that they are totally peacefull fishes.they dont bother anything in my tank include stone loach or gudgeons which are also bottom dwelers.

Nice, glad to hear that. Don't they get too big for a 20 gallon long though?
