Yeah I do too... I always count my tiger barbs in my 55 since my carpintis systematically eradicated my 8 giant danios (who were each about 3" long) over the course of 2 weeks.

I also always count my pristella tetras in my 20 long, even though the HRP completely ignores that they're there

I count them everyday for a week after they are in a new setup, if the numbers don't change in that time, I cut back to once a week or so.

usually in the morning and then just before bed

I count every day but not every time I look, nothing worse then going 5..6..7...7...7 Wheres ......... But then there is nothing better then when you see them swim out from the rock and you continue 8.. 9.

When I get home from work in the morning, doing a quick headcount of my fish is one of the first things that I do.

I don't count I just Look in the tank and if I see everyone then I know there are fine. My fish always come to the top when I go near the tank they think they are always gonna eat

Only if i havent seen them for a few days. Only fish that hides in my tank is my male grammodes. Cleaned the tank today and it was the first time i saw him in 4 days. He dies in a piece of decor
