Anyone ever heard of a Jardini and African Cichlid setup?

You also have to consider water parameters. A high pH is not ideal for an Arowana. The Africans can survive in a low pH but not ideal either. Not the most pressing issue, but something to consider as well.

i keep my jar with blue diamonds cichild kind of look like flowerhorns, along with many other fishes. i guess my jar is one of the friendlier ones oh yeah when i drop a blood worm square into the tank n the jar snatches it the cichilds will chase the jar n try to steal it and vice versa jar has kept to himself. i like to keep the jar full so it doesnt attack the other fishes when hes hungry

Yeah,I'm aware of that too.I guess the best thing for me to do is to buy a 75gal for my africans and throw my Jar in the 125gal that I have the africans in.I'll get the 75 within the next couple of weeks.

Think I could get away with putting a Tiger oscar in with the Jardinin of equal size?

i doubt that
when i tried a small oscar(5") the jar (8" or so), th jar was relentless to get the oscar and the GTs for 4 hrs before i moved the little guys
when i tried a 10"ish Oscars with my 13" jar the jar was again at arms and then the tables turned and the oscar was doing the chasing and i moved the Oscar
now i ain't trying anything again (may be or may be not)
