  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nope, but i think the freshwater ones are illegal where i live. i think it would be interesting to keep though especially if u could use them to supplement another fish's diet

Ye, it would be something different.
There supposed to filter the water aswell.

i haven't personally but my brother did for about a week and they all died

i tired fresh water calm and they did a pretty good job in filtering, but they died about 3 month later. but i dont know about mussel

iv had one in my tank for about a year now its about 4 inches, just recently collected a few one inchers for the tank as well i have had no problem feeding them...witch i do nothing to do that, they are in my planted guppy breeding tank..that i over feed with a huge variety of food. one of witch is crushed up algae wafers.

Talking about freshwater mussel, they are pretty much illegal here where I live because they are considered as invasive species. And some of our lake is having problems with it, destroying boats propeller, and plugging up pipes and such.

Freshwater mussels are mostly a threatened species little is known about them
most of the invasive species are zebra clams. at least in WA
