i just ordered one and it should be coming in the mail i was just wondering if anyone has any experience with these and i was wondering if they were good canister filters because honestly i thought it was pretty cheap for having a built-in uv light.

No but it looks just like a canister filter that I bought off e-bay about a month ago without the uv though. They also have the uv series too just like the jbj reaction. Only thing different is the pumps. Mine has a 375gph pump while those jbj reactions has between 198-290gph pump. I think the only difference between other the the pump is the tubing and price.

Hey, sounds like you may have gotten one of the same canister filters i was looking at on ebay. How's it working out for you and how big is your tank? Thanks!

The filter still hasn't came
in the mail I read product reviews and I didn't see one bad review so I hope it works
good I'll be sure to post some pics and tell how it's working as soon as I get it

It's doing really well. It looks like the Marineland C-360 too but has just a very few feature differances. Only thing is the tubing it abit of an overkill, well alittle thick. The rubber tubing Im talking about. I might do some upgrading on those features. Very effective and quite canister filter though. Came with 3 filter pads but did not have the bio and carbon media but you can buy one with all the filter media and added uv. I bought some new Fluval Bio Max and added extra mature Bio Max. It also was extremely easy to prime with that large suction in the top of the filter. I bought the hw-303 but I bet that hw-304 is even better with the extra 530 gph with that series. Got mine on a mature 55 gal. to get it started but going on a 75 gal.

Ok let me tell u the story. One of my cichlids in my 125 killed one of the dithers and some how it clogged the filter I had before and I didn't notice till after I broke the filter trying to fix it well any my fish went a week with no filter all I could do was water changes. Well the water got pretty cloudy and got like a green tint to well after the jbj being on for about 20 minutes of being on the water got very clear and the water was not cloudy at all. I this is an awesome definitely would give it 5 stars. The only problem I had was the filter started leaking but only took a few seconds to fix. I would say the its the best filter for the price better than any filter I've owned.

Did you make sure you well lubed all the o-rings? My hw-303 came well lubed. This being the only filter on your 125 gal.?

I use vasoline to lube mine but there is a silicone lubricant that is less messy and made just for the o-rings and such. I need to buy a bottle for myself.

Oh yeah forgot to tell that you can buy this silicone lubricant at most lfs or online stores.
