Anyone Feed Frogs to Their Fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I feed frogs to my fish..together with a variety of insects, small lizards, worms and so on..
I haven't experienced any negative effects, and since they are abundant around here, it makes for a nice varied diet together with frozen fish and pellets.

I use to feed my wolf fish bullfrogs. Not sure about the cuban tree frog. I don't recall hearing about any toxins in them, I actually remember hearing or reading that they are not poisonous to household pets... I would just make sure you research anything before feeding them....

Thanks for the input. I should also clarify that my friend collected tadpoles and put them in a small bowl. Once they grew legs and climbed out of the water she didn't want them so they were immediately fed to my fish. Maybe they don't have toxin then or something. It was basically like feeding them a tadpole with legs.
