Anyone feed their rays prepared foods?

Nightcrawlers/prawn/smelt/ Hikari Masivore Delite pellets but for some reason only my pearl and my leopoldi will eat the pellets. My other rays just swim over them.
The reason I asked is because I was thinking of trying those expensive Hakari pellets. Just wish I could get a sample or a small bag, instead of having to spend $26 on a food my ray may not eat.
It's pretty cheap to feed my ray now, he's on trout worms, raw shrimp, and bloodworms. He'll also get to share in the 100 ghost shrimp I order for my eel once a week!

I have never try'd my ray's on pellet's, but my friend's ray's eat tetra doromin or what ever its called, which he feed's to his Geo's, just the one's that get past them.
My pair of Leo's go crazy for squid, tiger prawn's, whitebait and goldfish and stuff like that. I think ive spoilt them with good food for so long they would kick off if I try'd them on pellet's. I know it's expensive for the stuff ive mentioned but here's a good tip, one i got from stingray Dave (flying saucer owner) find a Chinese wholesaler and it's so cheap. I get 1/2 kilo of squid for £1.45 now.
